There was a house fire across the street from Deerfield Elem. last night. The fire department has revisited the site of fire today. The situation is under control. Students at Deerfield are safe and the issue does not pose a threat to our students or staff.

The WCHS Cheerleaders invite any K-5th grader to learn cheers, chants, jumps, and stunts at their mini clinic on Jan. 24 in the DMS gym from 5:30-7:30. Enter door 25 for registration at 5:15 pm. The cost is $15. To get more info, pick up a flyer at Baker, Willard, or Deerfield.

Report cards went home last Friday, along with a newsletter. Parents, if you have not see these items be sure to ask your student! 8th graders also received information on the Reality Store which is coming up on April 17th. We are looking for parent and community volunteers, so if you are available please fill out the form and return it to the office.
One other note for 8th graders - we will be having a parent meeting on Thursday, February 6th, at 6:30pm and would like all students and their families to attend. We will be covering information regarding high school scheduling so you will not want to miss this!

Introducing your 6th grade Ambassadors! These students meet weekly on Wednesday’s during PRIDE and work on preparing character lessons for their peers. Their first lesson was on friendship and being dependable, and next month they will be teaching about responsibility. #PeerLeaders #StudentAmbassadors
