It only takes one person to make a difference in someone’s life. September is suicide awareness month, so we would like to share some statistics with you about this very real concern in today's society. Did you know that 1 in 5 Indiana high school students seriously considered attempting suicide in the past year? Indiana ranks 3rd out of 36 states in the percentage of high school students who seriously considered attempting suicide. This is not just a high school and older issue, many younger students struggle with suicidal thoughts as well. Mrs. Wright is always available in the counseling office if a student needs to talk, or if they have a friend that they are concerned about. Please say something if you have concerns, you can be the one to make a difference in someone’s life. If students prefer to talk to someone anonymously they can check out the Suicide Prevention Lifeline or the Crisis Text Line both of which are available 24/7. #SuicidePrevention #StigmaFree #BeThere

The 8th grade Washington DC trip for this fall has been officially postponed until the spring. We are currently working with the tour company to find an alternate date for the spring. As soon as we know that date, we will let families know. We really want our students to have this experience so we will continue to work to make this happen at a time that we feel is safe for students to travel. Thank you for your patience and flexibility.

Randolph Central's Reopening Plan can be accessed via the link at the bottom of this message. Because of the Governor's Executive Order requiring face coverings we have added a new section on wearing masks so that families have clear direction. Thank you for your patience in these difficult times. We are looking forward to seeing our students and staff soon. Enjoy the last couple weeks of summer break! https://5il.co/ia0v
