The 6th grade county tournament games for tonight have been cancelled. The games that were scheduled for tonight will be played tomorrow night and the games that were scheduled for tomorrow night will be played on Tuesday of next week. Please stay tuned for more information on when the finals will be played.

Driver Middle School held its annual school spelling bee on February 3 with students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade competing. The champion was 7th grader Aiden Mendenhall. Runner-up was 8th grader Sophia Donnelly. As champion, Aiden will represent Driver in the Ball State PBS Regional Spelling Bee.

The Driver SADD Club will be selling Valentines cards on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week! These will be 3 for $1 and the money collected will be donated to the Riley Children’s Hospital. The cards will be delivered on Thursday, February 11th, with candy attached. Thank you for supporting our fundraiser! ❤️

DMS Families, This is a reminder that starting on Monday (2/8/21) we will resume every day instruction at school. WE WILL NO LONGER BE USING THE HYBRID SCHEDULE. Although we are moving away from the hybrid model, we are keeping the shortened day schedule that we have been using. We are also adopting the new policies put out by the Indiana State Health Department. DMS Families: DMS students will NOT be expected to Zoom tomorrow (2/5/21) with their teachers. Students will need to check their teacher's Unified Classroom Page for assignments. Teachers will have their assignments posted by 10:07 AM and will be available by email until 3:15 PM.

Attention DMS Wrestlers, the following message is from Coach Hill: We will NOT be having practice today. If you are at school tomorrow meet in the commons after school. Make sure you bring everything you need for the meet to school. Uniform, shoes, headgear, bucket, water bottle, and anything else you may need. If you are NOT at school tomorrow then you need to be to the school by 3:30. Make sure you have all your gear for the meet with you as well. We will take pictures in the middle school gym and leave for the meet from the school. If you have any questions please let me know.

Students should plan to get on each class Unified Classroom page this morning to determine what the expectations are for the day from your teachers. Teachers will have their items posted by 9:00 AM and will be available for questions until 2:00 PM. Here are a few highlights from Kindness Week! Ms. Kocher’s class created this sweet window display, and the YANA Club created a positive bulletin board to share with everyone. SADD Club also helped put kind notes in every students locker to spread some joy! We hope that everyone will continue spreading kindness even after the Great Kindness Challenge is over! #staykind 💕

It’s that time of year again... #SpellingBee time! 🐝 All of these students participated in the grade level spelling bees this week and many of them will move on to spell in the school bee next week. Great job to all of our participants!
