This week was kindness week at DMS, and the YANA Club worked hard to spread as much kindness as possible!
YANA stands for You Are Not Alone, and one of the club goals was to let everyone know they are cared for. To do this club members put a kind note into everyone students locker, and they also created this kindness bulletin board in the Driver wing. If anyone is having a bad day, they can take a ‘happy thought’ from the board with them and hold on to it.
Throughout the week there were ‘kindness challenges’ available in the office and everyone was encouraged to participate by seeing how many kind acts they could complete by Friday. Several students completed all 50 tasks! We loved seeing all the little acts of kindness this week, and we hope we can continue the trend in the future.
